The service

Bipbox is cloud file storage provided by BIP (Philip Marsden and Traci Davenport, Prague, Oklahoma, USA) ("we"). It stores the files you upload, shows them in the Bipbox apps and on the website, and lets you share them. What is included in each plan is shown at bipbox.mybip.org.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16, or using the account on behalf of a business that has authorised you.
  • Keep your password to yourself and sign out devices you stop using. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Give us a working email address. We use it for confirmations, receipts, password resets and notices about the service.

Plans and billing

  • Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund partial periods.
  • Each plan includes a storage limit. When you reach it, new uploads are refused until you free space or move to a larger plan. Files already stored are not affected.
  • We may change prices. A change applies to you from your next renewal after we have emailed you at least 30 days' notice.
  • If a payment fails we will let you know and retry. If it is still unpaid after 14 days we pause access to your files until it is settled; nothing is deleted. An account that remains unpaid for 60 days may be closed under the "Ending the agreement" section.

Your content

You own everything you upload. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your files, make copies for redundancy, generate thumbnails, and deliver files to you and to anyone you share them with. That permission ends when your files are deleted. You must have the right to store and share whatever you upload.

Acceptable use

Do not use Bipbox to store or share anything unlawful, anything that infringes someone else's rights, malware, or material involving the sexual exploitation of minors. Do not attempt to access other accounts, interfere with the service, or resell it. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you when we do unless the law prevents it.

Sharing

Share links let anyone with the link view and download what they point to. Shared folders give another Bipbox user the access you choose. You are responsible for what you share and with whom, and you can revoke sharing at any time.

Deletion and retention

Deleted files go to your trash until you empty it. After you empty the trash we keep the data for a short grace period of 7 days, during which we can restore it if you ask, then remove it permanently. If you choose Delete permanently and free space in your trash instead, the files are removed at once and nobody, including us, can restore them. Earlier versions of changed files are kept for 2 days. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable: Bipbox is a place to store and share your work, not a substitute for your own backups.

Availability

We work to keep Bipbox available at all times but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may change or add features, and we will give reasonable notice before removing anything you rely on.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time by cancelling your plan and emailing bip-support@mybip.org. We may close an account that breaks these terms or stays unpaid for 60 days. When an account closes, its files are deleted within 30 days. Download anything you want to keep before then.

Liability

Bipbox is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, USA. If part of them is found unenforceable the rest still applies. We may update these terms; if a change matters we will email account holders before it takes effect, and continuing to use Bipbox after that date means you accept it. Our privacy policy is at bipbox.mybip.org/bipbox/privacy.
